THINK CENTRE as part of its effort to promote human rights education in Singapore, is conducting seminars, training programmes and workshops on human rights. Project HEART, the Human rights Education and AwaReness Tour, is a new initiative.
OBJECTIVES
Participants of HEART will go through 1 ½ days of introductory course on Human dignity and Rights. This will be followed by a Human rights tour to organizations which are involved in improving the social, economic, cultural and political rights of peoples. At the organizations participants will be exposed to current human rights issues. Finally, the participants will be involved in Working Groups to create public awareness of the key issues.
Participants who have completed the course satisfactory will receive a Certificate of achievement by THINK CENTRE.

LEARNING METHODOLOGY
The teaching methods include lecture and participatory approaches such as group discussions, problem-solving exercises, slides and video shows including field visit.
COURSE VENUE:
The course venue will be informed to successful applicants by 3rd March 2005.
COST OF THE STUDY SESSION
Total cost of the study session S$30. This amount covers course materials, field study but excludes travel expense.
