What is Wong Kan Seng Trying to Prove?
(Think Centre Mailbox)

20 August 2001 by Anofirst Halim
Mr Wong spoke to reporters at the opening of a new zoo exhibit want the Think Centre to be more honest about closing down the forum. I am afraid Mr Wong and PAP itself cannot take the very honest reason, or prepare to accept it without taking up lawsuit. And nobody like to be preyed and sued bankrupted like JBJ anyway.
As for Sintercom, Mr Wong quoted as saying... 'Dr Tan is going to close Sintercom is because he has lost interest. He has done enough and if nobody is going to take over, he'll just shut it down.'

I think Mr Wong missed the bigger picture here. If he thinks that having 2 irritating organisations out of the way is a good sign, he is wrong.

This Lion City is sick. Citizens are monkeying around with their vote. How do you explain a country which give the "invisible" opposition slightly less than half the votes in a General Election?

I know of people who voted Mr Low because he is handsome. But the elite PAP analysed too complex, misread and send in a Teochew. People are laughing like hyenas at this stupidity. After all, this is no Animal Farm where Mr Wong can convinced people by shouting "2 legs good, 4 legs better". The people are uneased. Did Dr Tan lost interest because he realised that Singapore is going the way of the Dodo? 10 years is a short time for him to make alternative plans.

Think, Mr Wong, Think.
